Michael Peters
CEO/President
Michael is the founder, CEO, and president of the organization. Michael works as a Paramedic with Galax/Grayson EMS where he serves as a Supervisor, Training Officer, and SERT Medic.
He has been in Emergency Services since 2006 where he has served his community as a Firefighter, EMT-B, EMT-E, EMT-I, Paramedic, & sworn Auxiliary Police Officer
Michael served in the United States Army Reserve for 12 years with the rank of Sergeant, as a 88M & Unit Medic.
Michael is a certified Mental Health Coach, Critical Incident Stress Management, & Mental Health Resilience Officer.
Michael's passion for mental health comes from his own exposures of trauma throughout his career, he founded and developed Sirens of The Shield to provided much needed support to First Responders.

Megan Parks
Vice President
Meagan served on Galax Police Department for several years, where she became a renowned officer in which she was know to build rapport with some of the most difficult people in society. Meagan has been an instructor in the New River Criminal Justice Academy for several subjects.
Meagan is a person that is known to put everything in what she is doing and taking pride in professionalism.
Meagan is that officer that every department wishes to have.
She is also a certified EMT-B. She now is employed as a Probation Officer, where she is expanding her scope to make more impact within her community.
Meagan understands the demands of the First Responder life and what it takes to succeed. She also understands the trauma that carries with the job.
She is ready to assist in aiding other First Responders throughout their journey of trauma.
Sadie Golding
Vice President
Sadie Golding is a Paramedic at Galax/Grayson EMS. Sadie is also in college to become a Registered Nurse.
Sadie is known for her persistence within accomplishing her goals. She is very dedicated to her work and she is always ready to learn new things.
Sadie became an instructor and discovered that she enjoys teaching and understands the value of teaching others and staying on top of your knowledge.
Sadie is also a very strong advocate regarding Mental Health, she has her story that has lead her to become a strong leader around mental health. She prides herself in the idea of improving mental health across the board for all first responders.
Sadie will tell anyone that when she got started in EMS she had very little resilience, however through her journey she has became very resilient.
Sadie now dedicates her time to helping others in need, she has unique ways that has helped many navigate through tough times.
